Prof. A.G. Saeed left for the hereafter on the 9th of May, 2022. May Allah give him the best of abodes in the hereafter. Aameen.
He left IBA much before I joined as MBA student in 1985. However, heard a lot about him and other stalwarts in the group photo below. In my association with him in late 1990s and later, when he was with Jaffer Brothers training department, or during his establishment of his training center near the Clifton Bridge, and at several other places, I found him to be committed, righteous, principled, simple, knowledgeable and intellectual but unpretentious, خدا ترس، and a great human being. Willing to help everyone and anyone with sincerity and dedication. A great teacher and engaging conductor of workshops. Learned a great deal in his company. I had a telephonic conversation with him a year ago, where we discussed to meet on some projects.

I met Prof A G Saeed first in early 2000 when I and my brother (Rafey) were teaching at IBA; so was he for eons. He was extremely kind enough to mentor me since then __ I really can't count his bounties upon me. .. And as his students know that "loving mentorship" and "Prof A G Saeed" are synonymous.
In retrospect, one fine morning, in front of my father (late Syed Imaduddin Qadri), I mentioned Prof Saeed... And Baba took no time to ask for a meeting with him. I requested an appointment, but Prof sb insisted to visit him at our residence at the far-flung Gulshan-e-Maymar. The memories of his visit are still vivid. He drove there himself all the way from Clifton. When they met, fell in spiritual love at first sight; and they wept for a while. At that time, I had no clue about their eye-to-eye conversation; as illiterate I was about spiritual lingo; so am I today. The day, they talked for two hours; on multifaceted topics; some of them I couldn't even decipher. Since then, both of them used to praise each other with noble words.
I have the honor to complete several projects under him; learned a lot; always an enlightening experience. The last one was a study survey about CPEC, completed just before Covid-19.
May Allah bless them both (My father and Prof Saeed) with the highest orders in Jannat.

We lost another Jewel. Prof A. G. Saeed was my mentor, my teacher. He was a fatherly figure to me. Always available for advice. I met him in the year 1985 when I was associated with the Centre for Computer Studies, IBA, as Project Administrator. The project was a collaboration of IBA and IBM, in which IBM donated the mainframe IBM 370 and IBM 4331 Minicomputer. Mr. Humayun Qureshi was the Project Coordinator. We started SA program and later converted into MBA MIS. Prof. AG Saeed left IBA after developing differences with Dr. Abdul Wahab. He asked me to join him at Executive Development Centre, Jaffar Brothers Ltd. There, I worked under him for 2 years and learned a lot about how to create, organize and conduct training programs. I also learned headhunting and Executive Search. Then I left aboard for 5 years and when I came back I joined him again. He helped me a lot in settling down again.
What a personality. Always available.. May the Almighty Allah Bless him. Put him the highest place in Jannah. Ameen

A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Mr. Saeed left a legacy behind that only few in this world can match.
His story has humble beginnings in Pakistan where he fought to gain an education in a day and age where his culture would direct him to do otherwise. His ambition led him to places like Stanford, Harvard, Columbia, and more.
Mr. Saeed saw the world and left his mark wherever he went. Today, people all over the world mourn his loss. There wasn’t much that he didn’t do: he was a businessman, employee, employer, author, professor, and philanthropist — all self made. His charity has and will continue to sustain many lives and homes. He was always ready to give a helping hand and expected no payback.
His devotion to religion brought about a purity in his character that is quite rare in the world today. His fondness for connecting science in religion was apparent till his last verbal days. One of his proudest achievements was having a personal library of hundreds (if not thousands) of books — an homage to his thirst for knowledge.
Abdul Ghani Saeed is survived by his wife, five children, and fifteen grandchildren.
May Allah grant him eternal peace in Jannah. Ameen

This info is from 1973-1977. Mr. Mehr Ali had left/retired in 1973. Dr. Hashmi, Dr. Wahab, Mr. Fazle Hassan, Dr Matin, Mr. Danishmand later became Directors for respective tenure. Mr Fazle Hasan and Dr Matin were acting directors.
